About me

Hi, I'm Sophie, a qualified integrative therapist based in Horsham.

I offer counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to adults and young people aged sixteen and over, working with you in the way that suits you best, whether that's in person at my office, online, or by telephone.

I'm registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). You can feel confident that your care is in safe, experienced, and ethical hands.

As an integrative therapist, I don't believe one size fits all. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and I tailor the way I work to what feels most helpful for you as an individual. This means our work together is shaped around you, not a fixed formula.

What I work with

Whatever has brought you here, you don't need to arrive with the right words or a clear diagnosis. Many people simply know that something doesn't feel right, and that's enough. Below are some of the areas I commonly work with, but this list is not exhaustive, and if you don't see your experience reflected here, please do still get in touch.

Anxiety and stress · Depression · Burnout · Work-related stress · Low self-esteem and confidence · Relationship difficulties · Life transitions and change · Grief and bereavement · Trauma · Adverse childhood experiences · Attachment difficulties · Shame · Anger · OCD · Phobias · Disordered eating · Self-harm · Perimenopause and menopause · Infertility and pregnancy loss · Divorce and separation · Neurodiversity · Sexual identity and orientation

I know that reaching out to a therapist for the first time can feel daunting. It takes courage to pick up the phone or send that first message. I want you to know that there is no pressure and no judgement here.

Therapy is a space that belongs entirely to you. It's a place where you can speak honestly, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you're carrying. Many people find that simply having somewhere safe to explore their thoughts and feelings brings a real sense of relief and over time, the work helps them to feel lighter, more grounded, and better equipped to navigate life.

If you're curious about whether therapy might help, I'd love to hear from you.

I also work with people who aren't experiencing any of the above, but simply want to understand themselves better, to explore patterns of behaviour, unpack where certain feelings come from, or find a clearer sense of who they are and what they want.
